About Arkelas Cave House
Take a journey back a thousand years to the calm waters of time, in the heart of Cappadocia, there is a cave house that holds the secret of the rocks. The story underlying these stones is like a legend filtered through the sands of time. Everything starts with a melancholic melody from the 1800s. A family decided to establish a life on these lands. By carving stones, they built a home for themselves in the lap of nature. Over the years, the cave houses grew and the family grew. The history flowing in every room whispers the voice of the past onto the walls.
One day, before dawn, while the mystical landscapes of Cappadocia were dancing with the riot of colors in the sky, everyone in the village had the same dream. A fairy glided from the rocks and approached them. She said she was his bride and invited them to a magical adventure.

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful little hotel. It has everything you could hope for. It is close to the town centre, has a great viewing area and a very nice breakfast. What impressed me more than anything was the genuine, friendly and helpful staff.

I stayed at the Arkelas Cave House with a couple of friends in April 2023. Our room was compromised of two twin beds in the main bedroom area and a good sized sofa bed in the living area. The suite itself was clean, warm (it was pretty cold outside).

Location is great, 5-7 min away from city center. It is so beautiful, the area and the room especially. Everything was so detailed and the stuff was so kind and welcoming. They managed to arrange a surprise for my boyfriend birthday and it was outstanding. We are so happy to stay with you. I would like to say that Aysa was very kind and she was always there for us, an amazing person. Our stay became better cause of her.

Everything about this hotel was great. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They were easy to reach and always willing to help. The property itself was very beautiful too. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The location was great too - easy to get to the Urgup city centre and lots of restaurants around.

I was A little worried because I am from the US, traveling alone and I only speak english. All workers I talked with spoke English, most of them exceptionally well. Even before our trip started, the staff at the hotel made our trip even easier. We were coming from a 5 day trip from istambul, they booked us a great transfer from the airport who was on time and delivered us perfectly and comfortably to Arkelas Cave House. Before we got to the hotel, the help to organise our squeezed 2 days and be able to see everything was extraordinary, replying immediately vía WhatsApp. Upon arrival, the cave suite was beautiful and confortable, the jacuzzi is super cool as it is literally inside the cave suite! We booked: Red tour and green tour with them, and it was absolutely amazing and not expensive, and in 2 days, you get to see the entire city. As an extra, we got to enjoy a bottle of local white wine on the house on the top floor of the hotel, over looking with the sunset colours I highly recommend Arkelas. We are actually thinking of coming back to ski during winter. 12/10

This cave hotel has the real caves rooms with beautiful and unique decorations. Although we only stayed for one night, it was really comfortable and easy to go to take the hot air balloon. The staffs were very friendly and helpful, we got fantastic hospitality. By the way, the wine of the hotel is also great, we spent a wonderful night on the rooftop terrace. I recommend this hotel if you are traveling with friends and families, you will be relaxed like staying at your home. If I visit this lovely town next time, definitely I’ll choose here for staying a couple of days.
